For Minnesota Veterans
No safe place to stay, or about to lose yours? Help is real, and it's fast.
One call or one short form starts a team working with you. Any discharge. Any length of service.
Question 1 of 3
Are you safe right now?
Question 2 of 3
Where will you sleep tonight?
Question 3 of 3
Did you serve in the military, Reserves, or National Guard?
Any discharge and any length of service counts.
Where will you sleep tonight?
- Nowhere safe: call 1-888-LinkVet or the VA's 24/7 line, 877-424-3838. Dial 211 for a shelter near you.
- In a shelter or with others: join the Registry and ask for help.
- About to lose your place: call MACV at (833) 222-6228 about emergency rent or mortgage help.
What happens when you reach out
- You call or fill out the form. It takes about 5 minutes, and you can stop anytime.
- You're added to Minnesota's Homeless Veteran Registry, if you agree. A team of housing and service professionals meets regularly to review every Veteran on it.
- A person works with you on housing, income, and whatever is in the way.
What's in your way? Let's knock it down.
Pick the obstacle. We'll tell you what to do first and who helps for free.
Minnesota reached "functional zero"
In October 2026, Minnesota announced it had reached functional zero for Veteran homelessness. That doesn't mean no Veteran is homeless. It means Minnesota has the teams and programs in place to move quickly when a Veteran needs a home. The first step is letting them know you need help.
