About Home Base MN
A front door to Minnesota's Veteran housing system, designed to be run in partnership with the organizations that run it.
What this is
Home Base MN (working name) will be run by [LEAD ORGANIZATION] together with Minnesota Veteran-serving organizations. It has two jobs:
- For Veterans: make it simple to ask for help, knock down obstacles, and get to a real person at the right partner fast.
- For everyone who wants to help: show landlords, housing providers, employers, and volunteers how to plug in, then connect them to the partners who need them.
Home Base MN is not a government website and does not replace the official Homeless Veteran Registry, which is run by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA). It's designed to send people to the Registry and to partners, not to compete with them.
Our partners

Privacy
- We ask for as little as possible. Never your Social Security number, full date of birth, or diagnosis.
- No ad trackers or social media pixels on this site.
- Pre-launch: forms send nothing and store nothing.
- When the help form goes live, your answers go only to the partner team(s) you agree to, under written data-sharing agreements. We'll post how long information is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted. VERIFY
- On your device: if you pick a county on "Find help near me," your browser remembers it so you don't have to choose again. Nothing else is saved, and it's never sent anywhere.
Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. The site works with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and text enlarged to 200%. If something doesn't work for you, tell us at [ACCESSIBILITY EMAIL] and we'll fix it.
You never pay
No one should ever charge you to join the Registry, get help from a CVSO, or file a VA claim. If someone asks you to pay, call your CVSO.
